Within the framework of the strategic partnership between Alex Power and sustainable development Alex Power Company worked on designing an integrated project and infrastructure in the Al-Mughra region to become the starting nucleus for an integrated research center in terms of construction, such as an administrative building, a researchers’ rest building, a water desalination plant, a sewage plant, water pumps, drip irrigation networks, and the work of an internal road network. Complete reliance on new and renewable energy, as solar energy stations, a wind energy station, and a power station with a flywheel system were established, completely dispensing with fuel to save expenses and maximize the use of the local product in the project. The company also implemented several projects with the governorate and the Center for Sustainable Development, such as the project to establish a solar energy station with a capacity of 450 kW and pumping pumps for the sewage station in Al-Shahaim in Siwa, as well as the 70-acre networks project for youth in the Abu Sharouf area in Siwa.
